Seoul Station

首尔 · ソウル
남영Namyeong
  • 4 Line 4 ← Hoehyeon · Sookmyung Women's Univ. →
  • A AREX (airport) Gongdeok →
  • GJ Gyeongui-Jungang ← Sinchon

The airport train, KTX to Busan, and four subway lines in one hub.

Seoul Station is the city's main rail hub. The AREX airport railroad ends here, KTX high-speed trains leave for Busan and Gyeongju, and Lines 1 and 4 run underneath.

The area isn't a sightseeing destination itself, but Seoullo 7017, an elevated garden walkway built on an old highway overpass, starts beside the station and Namdaemun Market is a short walk away.

Which exit to take

Exit numbers can change during station works. Check the yellow exit boards on the platform before you leave the gates.

Food nearby

The station has a food court and chain restaurants for travellers; better local food is around Namdaemun Market and the alleys east of the station.

Good to know

  • Lines 1 and 4, AREX and the Gyeongui-Jungang Line all stop here, but the platforms are spread out: allow 10 minutes to change.
  • Some airlines offer city check-in for the airport at the AREX level; check if yours does.
