Seoul Station Guide

Bukchon Hanok Village, Insadong's tea houses and Changdeokgung.

Anguk is one of the most useful stations for visitors: it sits between Bukchon Hanok Village on the hill to the north, Insadong's craft and tea-house streets to the south, and Changdeokgung Palace to the east.

Bukchon is a lived-in neighbourhood, so keep noise down. Parts of it now have visiting-hours restrictions for tourists.

Which exit to take

Exit numbers can change during station works. Check the yellow exit boards on the platform before you leave the gates.

Food nearby

Insadong's back lanes are full of traditional restaurants and tea houses. Samcheong-dong, north-west, has cafés and brunch spots.

Good to know

  • Bukchon visiting hours are enforced in the most popular lanes; check before you go.
  • Ikseon-dong is a 10-minute walk south-east.
